During our first Camino we took a short detour between Larrasona and Pamplona on the Camino Frances to visit the church of St Esteban at Zabaldika. The church is looked after by a lovely group of nuns who are most welcoming and happy to show visitors the church. The church houses one of the oldest church bells in Navarre and visitors can climb the narrow winding stairs to the bell tower and ring the bell to send their prayers out over the valley and into the world.
The nuns give each visitor a copy of a pilgrim prayer which I am attaching along with a photograph of the bell. If you get a chance to visit I urge you to take it.

Basilica de San Isidoro and visited the Cathedral of Leon and its museum. the Pilgrims mass. They bring you & other Pilgrims to stand up at the altar for a special Blessing. I was sobbing, it was so special.
Religious/Spiritual experiences: I am sure there are some amazing ones that I missed, and towards the end, I found them hard to find. But I LOVED these, as they made the Camino feel more of a pilgrimage for me. Here were the ones I did, would recommend all:
- Pilgrims Mass and blessing in Roncesvalles
- Candlelight reflection in Granon
- Singing with the Nuns in Carrion de los Condes
- The Spiritual yoga session at Albergue Verde, Hospital de Orbigo
- The intention fire at CasaRural Flores del Camino in Castrillo de los Polvazares
